Are Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz losing the charisma as a tandem?
That’s the question of the critics nowadays to the tandem of Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz after the success of the blockbuster movies of John Lloyd Cruz and Pop Star Sarah Geronimo “A Very Special Love” and its sequel, “You Changed My Life” that hailed Sarah as the new box office queen beating fellow kapamilya star, comedy queen Ai-Ai Delas Alas.
When Bea Alonzo was asked about the issue that it was the Sarah-John Lloyd’s team up that weakens the Bea-John Lloyd tandem, Bea answered it confidently with, “I Don’t Think So.” The pretty pinay celebrity explained that it was the original plan of their mother network, ABS-CBN star magic to push them as individual actor and actress. Bea Alonzo also added that she is really happy with the success of John Lloyd Cruz.”Kung ano ang success niya, feeling ko, success ko na rin.”
As of now, Bea Alonzo is still busy doing their teleserye, “I Love Betty La Fea” with long time loveteam, John Lloyd Cruz. Meanwhile, the actress also revealed that she is now filming a very refreshing movie with Sam Milby under Star Cinema to be directed by Rory Quintos.

John Lloyd is good with every partner/loveteam he has, that makes him a good actor. But I like Sarah more simply because she acts naturally than Bea. BTW, I heard there will be a part 3 on John Lloyd and Sarah’s hit movies…A Very Special Love and You Changed My Life…

Who ever thought of that idea na nawawala na ang charisma ng bea-john lloyd tandem? Eh sa amin nga, panay tanong kung kailan magka-movie ulit sila. Hindi nabawasan ng charisma nila lalo na hit na hit ang betty la fea. At saka, matagal na ang pinagsamahan ng dalawa, malaki ang kanilang fan base at subok na. Map-drama o comedy, tinatangkilik sila ng mga fans.

Sila ang loveteam na hindi kailangan patawa para ma-inlove ka.. so mature, so deep so sincere ang acting. sa I love betty la fea.. magtabi lang sila nafefeel mo na nag tension ni hindi kailangang may sweet scene, andun na kaagad yung kailangang mong mafeel na tension. Iba pa rin sila .

I do not believe that they have lost their charisma…their chemistry. It’s still very evident in their scenes together in I Love Betty La Fea and in the clamor for movie/tv series/appearances together by people, both in the Philippines and abroad . I know of some people who clamors for their previous teleseryes to be put into DVD for them to see repeatedly and because some of them are what you will call “late-bloomers” – that it’s only now they’ve discovered the JLC-BA tandem. But the problem is, their mother studio seems bent on lessening their projects together…giving the perception that the JLC-BA team up is now a thing of the past… pairing them with others, thus creating another “loveteam” i.e. john lloyd with sarah – can’t help but raise my eyebrow here – since i cannot categorize them as a “TEAM” – for i can see that whether john lloyd works hard on their project or not – it is still a blockbuster movie because of sarah’s fan base…to quote one person’s write up in her blog site and who has seen their latest movie – “ginawa lang borloloy si jlc” and “kapag bored ka na sa story, ilabas na lang ang mukha ni lloydie”…and i believe john lloyd knows this and such does not give him the satisfaction as an actor and really say that he gave his all in it….so, where is the career growth these ABS-CBN/Star Magic/Star Cinema Management is talking about?….if ABS-CBN/Star Cinema is what they really boast of who they are – why can they not give these talented actors a good story that they can sink their teeth into…whether they work as a team or individually…satisfying their artistic abilities and still make a blockbuster movie…maybe then, john lloyd cruz can really say that his career is veering into the career path that he wanted just what like he said before….

How can this question be asked without feeling jipped by the very network that we have supported because they USED to trust JLC, Bea, their tandem. What about ALL their contributions to ABS-CBN over the years — their hit teleseryes and blockbuster movies? One More Chance was a blockbuster hit in 2007. They had momentum from the success of MSKM raking in new supporters. Why was there NOT a sequel to OMC? I feel that all the clamor of the JLC-Bea loveteam supporters fell on deaf ears because Viva’s drumbeating was way too loud. Giving Sarah the chance to cross-over to movies with the help of JLC was one smart business move. Having the sequel which JLC was hesitant to do for good reason was a lucky draw because people were just curious about how the sequel was going to come out, not necessarily because it was a quality movie that offered something new and different. It saddens me to see how JLC has been promised the opportunity for artistic growth when separated from Bea but was only sucked into another tandem just to line the pockets of the network and its partner, Viva. Similarly, Bea was promised the same but found herself doing a highly successful teleserye with JLC only to realize that its success would be ignored and sacrificed to make way for this unnecessary sequel…….As far as I am concerned, the only charisma that I see fading and fading fast is that of ABS and Star Cinema who have failed to nurture the very people that have been loyal to them and who have been “soldiers” for them in the persons of JLC and Bea Alonzo.

never mawawala ang charisma ni JLC at BEA proven na ang tandem nila versatile ang team up nila mapa comedey or drama kaya nila w/o any effort dahil kabisado na nila ang isat-isa …and 8 years of being together di basta mawawala yan for them and for us too…!!!!kahit na magkaroon pa ng solo project in the end sila pa din ang bagay ….miss ko na sila makita sa big screen….

A BIG NO IS MY ANSWER… e kahit magtitigan lang sila… magsulyapan lang e kinikilig na ako at pamilya ko..pati ng mga nakapanuod ng YCML at AVSL… they watched the movies because: sarah is funny (bagay daw talga sa knya mga ganung role) at JL is ssssssssssoooooooooooooo guwapo! so i asked, e kinilig kayo ke jl at sg… ang sagot INDI! pero sila kinikilig ke betty at armando, basha at popoy, cielo at lawrence, kat at yuri, betsy at michael, marian at palits! siympre ako rin! haaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy…. iba po talaga ang chemistry nilang 2! actually i call it MAGIC… AN INDESCRIBABLE MAGIC.. na kahit malayo sila.. pero nagkatinginan lang ay talaga namang mapapaHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY…….i have never seen a loveteam who could match theirs! 8 years and still going… glowing!!! atsaka si jl kahit pagod siya from work, from the airport derecho sa taping, kapag kaeksena si bea, e hindi po siya pagod.. energetic pa! Go na go! at ang mga mata, they are glowing… as in radiant! i am so amazed!!!

i was introduced to these loveteam only for about a year by a friend…i’m never been into filipino thingy although am half-filipino…but when i saw them, i got hooked!!!…i was also amazed that they have been teaming up for more than 6 years and still got their audience to swoon every time they appear on tv/movie screens and make us (including me now, of course!) believe on every character role they are playing…and i said, wow!!! if only they could be together forever…hahaha…just a wish…but for now, another movie this year would satisfy me for now….

Just for this 1st time to watch their movies,… MAGING KA SINO MAN, I just fall in love with them, so perfectly match and i vote 100% for jlc to make a move now, because he has been looking after her when she was 15yrs.. i mean, known her and i could see how respectful and caring he does to her. Bea looks lovely and seems a nice girl. They do really suit together… please make it happen, make them end up together… (good combination).. they will never lose their charisma. i respect abs cbn’s decision to mold them as individual actors (kasi it’s abt time nga naman sa galing nila) but having bea and john lloyd in another movie won’t hurt. siguro naghihintay lang ng right timing ulit and abs cbn. sana gawin nila ang remake of any vilma- christopher movie. when the time comes, i hope all the fans will act to make it the number 1 movie. sana manalo as best actress si bea this 2009 sa …and i love you so..movie niya. she deserves it because she’s really a good actress.

oh well!! to be honest, my first time to watch johnlloydbea movies is MAGING SINO KA MAN, from then on, i quarantee them as the best. Eventhough we have been watching the other love team, judy ann and ryan, derek and angelican, anne curtis, luis etc we still prefer those two. I wish i could get any mail from them… a hello will do. I started surfing through the nets and come across I LOVE BETTY LA FEA, eventhough i couldn’t speak filipino i just sit there watching them every morning now its episode 150 i always look forward for the following morning. I don’t think they are loosing their charisma, this separating makes them know how much they miss each other, but please put them together again. Thanks.

Definitely they are NOT losing their charisma as no. 1 loveteam. who else in the history of television and movies who their loveteam lasted for more than 5 years?
I am encouraging and really insisting that all their fans should make their stand that NO experiments with other leading man or leading lady for both of them, they can have it once but not more. at least every year mayroon silang teleserye and movie together. i know for sure they will forever be the best loveteam of all times!!!
Still i am still looking forward for a happy ending in their status as friends and eventually friends-in-love!!!

i dont think they lost their charisma… every project,movie teleserye is so entertaining not because they are funny but because they are good actors.no offense to sg but i find her annoying in ycml. compared to omc of jlc and bea… its a movie that their fans can actually relate..i love this couple and i consider them a team… i hope that there will be more projects,seryes,movies for them… i will never grow tired watching them…and i soooooooooooooo love omc… whenever i watch it, cant help but feel what the characters feel……i soooooooooo love them…. i wont get tired supporting them….i hope there will be so much demand so abs will know how their loveteam touches their supporters hearts and lives…

Why cant people accept the fact that Bea and John Lloyd’s chemistry is no longer there? They even can’t top GMA 7’s telebabad. I truly believe wala na ang kilig2x moments nila..I like Sarah more as JLC’s love team simply becoz she is Sarah… =) As for Bea, she is kind of a feeler who thinks the world revolves around her. And I also believe that Bea is jealous to the success of Sarah and JLC’s. Never in cinema history na naging Megablock buster yung mga movies that Bea and JLC did. And then Sarah came in and turned the common misconception of movies na hindi puro pa-cute2x lang. We need humor, people! And that is what Sarah and JLC delivered.

All i can say Bea and john Loyd love team are still nakaka kilig ilove the team up since they started love team, if Abs Cbn maid a dicision to pair to other person let them. Si Sarah lang daw ang nakasabay kay JLC sabi ni “kcatwoman”. Wrong my dear, let’s analyze it, alright?. Sarah doesn’t know anything about acting but giggle in front of the camera (I know her, believe me). Honestly, kaya sikat si Sarah sa Pinas ay dahil maraming pinay ang mahilig sa “cinderella” style story. iyong tipong kahit inferior looking ka, puwede kang maging sikat at makapag-asawa ng guapo, and this brings “kilig” factor to the public. Sarah was even voted as one of the most beautiful women in the Philippines. Aw come-on guys, be honest! that would be very uncomfortable position for Sarah . Honestly, I feel sorry for this gal, for she will always be the “secondary” and “the duplicate”. Unlike Pinoys’ other current artists, she cannot take the place of people ahead of her like Regine Velasques, nor will ever receive international recognition like Charice, nor be the concert queen like Pops Fernandez, nor be an all around best like Sharon Cuneta. Sarah is the next Nora Aunor though, in looks and talent. Like Nora Aunor, Sarah always presented herself as humble, “po at opo” person because with her inferiorities she cannot afford to attract antipathy. Truthfully, top people in the showbiz industry likes Sarah because she is always the secondary and will never be a threat to them.

i agree… sara dapat makipaglaban kay bea ng patas…hindi dahil sinisiraan siya ng SG fans. Bea- JLC loveteam will always be in our hearts. case in point. people have watched One More Chance not once, twice or thrice but maybe 10x more. Maging Sino Ka Man, ABS themselves confirmed that it is the all time highest best selling teleserye nationwide (and global wide. oh yes, they have a lot of global fans. buhay ang TFC because of this tandem). after 8 long years, their fans are still around asking ABS to give them a follow up movie in the big screen. Nakakainis lang because binuwag nila ang Bea- JLC tandem at its peak, when fans were not yet ready to see them part ways….and all because to give way to another tandem. unfair is the word. but still, we patiently await for the movie after OMC. never na mawawalan ng charisma ang bea- jlc tandem. OMC was a blockbuster in 2007. in fact, it was the number one movie for that year! with the rate of inflation and change in movie rates, patas lang sila ng YCML in 2009. o baka nasurpass pa ang gross sales! SG will never post a threat in the number one loveteam of bea-jlc. para sa akin, iilan lang silang loveteams ang nagtatak ng marka sa phil. showbiz industry- nora- tirso, vi- edgar, sharon- gabby, AND bea- john lloyd.

from londo ako. sa tingin ko mas magaling umarte si sarah kaysa kay bea. magaling din si bea pero mas gusto ko ang acting skiils ni sarah. sa totoo lang mas magaling ang tambalan nila ni john at sarah. nandito ko sa london for 9 years na. hindi ako mahili manood ng pilipino movies pero nung napanood ko si sarah/lloyd naging hilig ko na ang mannood ng filipino film. maidownload ko na lahat pelikula ni john lloyd laha sila maganda at napakagaling talaga umarte ni john talo nga pa si aga, boyet sa tingin ko lang. at saka mas bagay talaga ang tandem ni sarah/lloyd.

let me tell you something Sara’s fanatic fan i remember one time Sara’s Dad adjusted the speaker for the concert just to make sure his daughter voice better than other singers and also complaining that technician are not doing their jobs. that is you called insecurity and also why is
her manager was complaining that she did not get pay the right amount of money even do their movie of her and john Loyd maid mega money. what do called that? and how much money do you need people in the Philippines did not have a jobs and a lot of people are poor Bea never complain that one of the reason i like Bea she just work and never complained coz she know’s she is lucky to have a job that you should not complained guys only like Sara to use her for her popularity i bet you if she has no talent to sing or dance no one would like to be team up w/ her at all because she not very attractive at al she she did not look like cinderella ok she try so hard to make her self good sorry te say that bye….
