Azkals practicing in Baguio
Philippine football team the Azkals are currently working hard training to prepare for their upcoming game on March against the Mongolia Blue wolves. According to Senator Miguel Zubiri the Azkals will be making Baguio as their training ground, most probably because of the altitude and the cold weather. Do you wonder why in high altitude? Even Philippine boxing phenomenon Manny Pacquaio would always go to Baguio to train.
It is simply because in these high altitude areas the air is much thinner compared in the ground levels. Practicing in high altitude would mean less oxygen, you’ll get tired quickly or basically run out of air during vigorous activities. Getting use to this environment will make a person tougher most especially in the ground levels. As for Azkals it’s not just the altitude it’s the weather also since Mongolia has an extreme cold weather.
Team Azkals is not just busy training they are also trying to propagate this game in the Philippines. Making the people aware that Pinoys can also be good in other things , other than basketball. The team do provide hands-on training to other children giving them first-hand coaching. I guessed they are doing a good job.
Hope more people will support the team Azkal not just moral and prayer support but also monetary support, as we all know the sports committee here in the Philippine doesn’t give or don’t have enough budget to provide training and equipment to our athletes not just for the football players but with other athletes as well.
