Punk Princess Avril Lavigne will once again rock the Philippines in a concert entitled, “The Best Damn Tour 2008” this coming September 03, at the Araneta Colisuem. The two-time Grammy Awards nominee will once again showcase her talent as a rock icon to all the fans who have waited her perform for three long years.
The 24 year old Avril Ramona Lavigne or popularly known by her birth name as Avril Lavigne which means, “April “for Avril and “the vineyard” for Lavigne was born in Belleville, Ontario Canada. Her parents Judy and John Lavigne are French-Canadian and are devotees of Baptist Religion. While attending into their church activities, Judy Lavigne discovered a lot of singing potentials on Avril when she was two years old. And since then, Avril Lavigne started to hone her craft by joining various singing competitions in Canada.
After four years of playing beautiful music together, Avril Lavigne decided to get married to her 27 year old fiancée, Deryck Whibley, the front man of pop-punk band Sum 41 last July 15, 2006 at the age of 22.
The singer-song writer, actress and fashion designer, Avril Lavigne will surely hit the Philippines again by storm this coming September as she promotes her latest album, “The Best Damn Thing” which has a total of 12 tracks that includes chart-topping songs like, Girlfriend, Hot, When you’re gone, I Can do better and a lot more.
