After surviving from her previous battle in giving birth, Jennylyn Mercado the starstruck first ultimate female sole survivor of GMA 7 faces another challenging and emotional stage in her life. Jennylyn’s stepfather passes away last August 19, Tuesday night at the United Doctors Medical Center Hospital due to diabetes complications.

The 69 year old Rogelio Veloso Mercado or most commonly called as “Tatay Roger” by Jennyln Mercado is the husband of Jennylyn’s aunt, Lydia Mercado who stands as the ‘parents’ of the beautiful pinay celebrity after abandoning by her biological parents. According to Mrs. Lydia, Tatay Roger was still able to see Jennylyn together with her new born son, Jaz right after Jen and her new born baby boy was discharged from St. Luke’s Hospital last Tuesday morning.

Even before, Jennlyn Mercado admitted that she was the one who’s helping Tatay Roger financially from all of his diabetes treatment and medication. Jennylyn stands as the bread winner in the family after Tatay Roger was diagnosed with his diabetes complications.

Mr. Rogelio Mercado’s body was brought to Funeraria Pilipinas in Zapote Road, Las Pinas and is set to be cremated on August 23, Saturday. Aside from Jennylyn Mercado, Tatay Roger also left two other children, Rey and Gerly to his wife Lydia. The two siblings just recently flew to the Middle East to work failing to comfort their Tatay Roger during his last few days.

Undoubtedly, Jennylyn Mercado is being tested here, now that another trial comes her way after a love battle with Patrick Garcia. Jennylyn will be much stronger and will become a tougher woman after surpassing all of these circumstances that she’s into. Jennylyn Mercado is definitely worthy to be the first ultimate female sole survivor in life, in love and in faith.

Starstruck ultimate female sole survivor and one of the most promising stars of GMA 7, Jennylyn Mercado gives birth to a healthy baby boy last August 16, Saturday at around 8:00 to 9:00 PM at St. Luke’s Hospital in Quezon City.

The first child of Jennylyn Mercado to her ex-boyfriend actor, Patrick Garcia weighs 8.12 pounds and is currently in a stable situation. Jennylyn gives birth via Caesarian section that’s why the actress will be needing a lot of rest due to the delicate procedure she went thru.

Jennylyn’s former love team and ex- boyfriend, Mark Herras extended his excitement for the new born baby boy of his starstruck batchmate. Mark and other friends in showbiz of Jennylyn Mercado were already planning to visit the ‘first time mom’ in the hospital as soon as the doctors of Jennylyn will allow visitors to come after her condition gets better. Other good friends in showbiz of Jennylyn and starstruckmates, Yasmien Kurdi together with Rainier Castillo both showed how much they love the actress by giving their full support and concern to her. They even offered financial assistance to Jen in case she will be needing it anytime. Before Jennylyn gave birth, they even teased her that the baby will be definitely a ‘good looking’ boy because Jen still manages to maintain her pretty looks during months of her pregnancy.

Until now, Patrick Garcia, the father of Jennylyn’s son still remains to keep his silence regarding financial support to their ‘lovechild’. His Family formerly extended their offer to Jennylyn Mercado and released their statement; “Just knock on the door and we will open it for you”. The pinay celebrity refuses to accept their offer and otherwise gave her counter statement, “Why would I need to knock to those doors that are not really open for me?”

In a few months, Jennylyn Mercado will have her showbiz comeback in GMA 7. She told the press that she’s really excited to do projects again with Mark Herras and other showbiz personalities in her mother studio, the Kapuso Network.  The actress is also thankful that GMA 7 still believes in her talent as an artist, in fact there are a lot of projects already lined up for the beautiful Jennylyn Mercado.
