Joey De Leon Steals a kiss from Charice Pempengco

It was the very first time that international star Charice Pampangco was seen on Kapuso network GMA-7 last Saturday July 17, 2010 on its longest noontime show Eat Bulaga. Charice Pengpenco is one of the guest stars during opening presentation of the said Show, she sang her latest single “Pyramid” from her self-titled album “Charice”.

Other guest stars who had a dance presentation are Wyn Wyn Marquez, daughter of Alma Moreno and Joey Marquez, Enzo Pineda, Joseph Bitangcol and Iza Calzado. They were joined by dabarkads Julia Clarete, Ruby Rodriguez, and Paulene Luna.

It was after the presentation when Joey De Leon did his job. While Charice Penpemco was being interviewed by Pia Guanio, Joey De Leon sneak on Charice Pempengco from the back and stole a kiss to the chick.

For the meantime Charice Pempengco will be staying in the US for a long time since she will be casting the musical tv show Glee. While Joey De Leon will be hosting a new game show on GMA-7 starting tomorrow July 20, 2010 entitled “Spin it Win it”.

One Glorious Night of GMA-7 59th Anniversary

Kapuso Network, GMA-7celebrated their 59th anniversary last June 19, 2009 at the Araneta Coliseum. More than 100 kapuso stars gathered together and ramped on stage with glitz and glam in one glorious night with their theme, “One Glamorous Night: Grater and Grateful at 59.”

Top kapuso stars showcased their stunning outfits that amazed their kapuso loyal fans and viewers who’ve watched the stars parade on stage that night. GMA-7 artists who were present on that glamorous night and made exceptional production numbers were the RnB prince and princess, Kyla and Jay-R, Janno Gibbs, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid. Veteran actors and actresses like Mr. Eddie Garcia, Celia Rodriguez, Leo Martinez, and German Moreno ramped on stage during the first part of the presentation. Top Caliber actors and actresses who also made an impressive appearance that night were Jean Garcia, Eula Valdes, Lani Mercado, Iza Calzado, Sunshine Dizon, Angelu De Leon, new mom Angelika Dela Cruz and the new male lead for “Darna”, Mark Anthony Ferandez.

GMA-7’s top leading star, Marian Rivera also ramped a couple of times on stage while rumored boyfriend, Ding Dong Dantes happen to appeared on such separate parts of the program. The two kapuso gems just made their appearance together on the last part of the celebration along with the hundreds of stars closing the 59th anniversary special.

Other stars that also made the night glamorous were, young stars Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal, Carla Abellana and Geoff Eigenmann, actor, Marvin Agustin, Sen. Bong Revilla, Dennis Trillo and Jennica Garcia, JC De Vera, Michelle Madrigal, Mark Herras, product of starstruck like Sheena Halili, Iwa Moto, Rich Asuncio, Arci Munoz, Jackie Rice, LJ Reyes, and a lot more. Meanwhile, the news and current affairs men and women of GMA-7 were also in complete attendance that night to join the celebration.

It was also noticeable that some of the kapuso stars were unable to appear on that one glamorous night like eat bulaga hosts, Vic Sotto, Joey De Leon and Pia Guanio. Joey De Leon on Willie Revillame, “May sakit na nga, walang hiya pa rin”

Despite of his busy schedule, Joey De Leon spent a little of his time and happily had a chit chat with the press people during the press conference of his new show on GMA-7, “Joey’s Quirky World” starting on March 1, replacing Takeshi’s Castle every weekend morning (Before Eat Bulaga on Saturdays and before SOP on Sundays.) The new show is a bit’ similar to some of the Japanese shows except that it will be featuring different countries around the globe and soon, there will be a local version of it as Joey revealed.

During the press conference, one of the reporters asked if Joey De Leon had already watched the latest episode of Wowowee where in his greatest detractor, main host Willie Revillame had a phone patch interview while he was in the hospital. During the phone patch, Willie mentioned that he is watching GMA-7’s noon time show Eat Bulaga, and commented, “Nanunuod nga ako ng kalabang show,( Eat Bulaga), At in fairness mas maganda pa din ang show natin.” Reporters asked Joey about his reaction on Willie’s juicy comment.

The TV host/comedian and journalist, Joey De Leon was a bit hesitant to answer the question and instead, tried to ignore the questions thrown upon him and even try not to come up with an answer and just dig in to his new show on GMA-7, “Joey’s Quirky World”. But since, reporters are all very persistent, one of them insists to have his response to Willie Revillame. Joey De Leon was forced to answer it with, “Okay, sana ‘pag sinulat n’yo ito, hindi ako ang nagpasimula ha? Tinanong n’yo lang ako.” Joey clarifies. “Napanood din namin ito sa Eat Bulaga set. May monitor din kami ng kalabang show. Ganun’ naman talaga e, ‘pag magkatapat na parehong show, nagmo-monitor sa kalaban. Sabi saakin ni Malou Choa-Fagar (Joey’s Manager and Executive producer of Eat Bulaga),huwag na naming pansinin. Kami naman, hindi na lang namin pinapansin, talagang hindi na kami sasagot kasi, ganun naman talaga siya e.” (Referring to Willie Revillame).

Joey De Leon gave his final answer with, “Ang masasabi ko lang, May sakit na nga, walanghiya pa rin.” Before the press conference ended, one of the reporters asked again Joey De Leon if he is still mad at Willie Revillame. Joey De Leon confidently answered it with a NO. “talagang ganun lang siyang tao.”
