Whew! It’s been such a long while folks since I get to touch my loptop, surf the net, visit my friendster account and most especially, check our site, chizmosa lounge! I must admit that I really missed a lot of showbiz happenings around the globe since September 11, because unexpectedly by that time, it was the start of my BIG DAY! I want to share with you guys some of my most memorable, painful and happiest experience during my labor and after I gave birth to our very first baby girl named Jarra Arden.
It was my husband’s birthday last September 11, I was actually planning to cook for him a recipe which I’ve learned from a cooking show on tv, “Quickfire” a ten minute kitchen wonders which was hosted by a great chef mom named Rosebud Benitez (I’m really not into cooking, but for the sake of my husband’s cravings for extra ordinary dishes, I have to learn it one step at a time!). All the ingredients for my recipe were already been prepared that Thursday morning, my husband did not go to work for us to celebrate his day. At 3PM, I decided to have a walking exercise just around the corners of the house when suddenly, I’ve felt something was gushing inside me. I’ve checked it and found I was already having a reddish discharge so I immediately told my husband about it and decided to go to my OB right away then. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the maternity hospital, we’ve found out that my OB was on a vacation in Thailand and that is scheduled to return on Saturday so I have to be checked by the other OB assigned by that time. When the OB checked me up, (she did the “IE” thing on my vagina that was definitely so very painful! That’s one of the most painful thing that I’ve ever experienced during my labor OMG! I will never ever forget it.) She found out that my cervix was already dilated into 1cm. She then told us that it was the start of my first stage of labor. Since the hospital is just a 15 minute drive from our house, the OB advised me to go home first because it will take long hours before I reach the real labor stage. On Friday morning, my hips were consistently aching and I was experiencing a lot of Braxton Hicks, (that is “hilab” in our term) my husband again rushed me into the hospital. The OB checked me up doing the “IE” thing again (huhu…) and said that my cervix were still on 1cm stage. My mom and my husband got really worried when they heard that because 15 hours had already passed since I started my first stage of labor and still, the dilation process was the same. The OB then told me that I have to be admitted in the hospital and since my cervix was slowly dilating, they have to inject a drug that could help fasten the dilation of my cervix. They injected it 4x during my labor stage, but after 48 hours of waiting, my cervix just dilated into 4cm.
On Saturday afternoon of September 13, my OB finally arrived and immediately checked me and decided to send me to the emergency room. She then told me and my husband that if in 2 hours time and my cervix will not continuously dilate, the last resort will be the one that I’m not expecting to happen and that is I have to undergo a Caesarian operation. 2 hours had passed and the OB was indeed right on what she said, my cervix had stopped dilating and by that time, I had no choice but to face my fear.
The operation lasted for about 30 minutes and it was indeed a very successful one. I got to see God’s perfect masterpiece, heaven’s gift and a very beautiful creation of our Lord, my very first baby that we named Jarra Arden which I’ve got from the internet. Jarra which is an Australian boy name meaning “eucalyptus tree” and Arden which is an American boy name meaning “eagle valley”.
I’ve posted some of her photos here and I hope you’ll get to enjoy it as much as we do. We also apologize for the long wait for this. Anyway, thanks for all your prayers, we really do appreciate it. Enjoy the photos of our very first angel!
Um koi sai!!!!
