Charlie Chaplin in the Movie “The Circus”

Whoa is this a remake? Or a pinoy celebrity is going to be the lead star? Well the answer is both no. It is actually the real Charlie Chaplin in the movie “The Circus”. This was just discovered by Chizmosa Jen today when it was featured on yahoo.com. The weird thing about this particular movie is that there was a scene captured a woman walking while holding something in her hand. It seems that it is a cell phone, as you would see she is clearly talking with somebody with it. But what’s the weird thing about it? Well this movie was filmed in 1928!!!

There were no cell phone or mobile phone yet during that time, and if there is there are no cell sites or satellites yet during that time to work with. Many have speculated including the person who uploaded the video that it’s a time traveler from the future? Hmmm

What happened to Chizmosa Lounge to post a story like this? Nothing really, was just amazed with the idea. Many thoughts have wondered in Vhincent’s head when he watched this short clip. As an avid follower of TV series like Start Trek (the next generation, enterprise, voyager), Star wars, Star gate (SG1, Atlantis, Universe), Marvel, DC etc. maybe it’s really a time traveler from the future. Have several other possibilities what this is;

As mentioned a time traveler.
an alien being disguised as a human studying us
A lunatic holding something that talks a lot?
The most advance pocket radio during that time and she sings along with it (AM or FM?)
An advance hearing aide
A Two way radio

But I really doubt letters d, e, and f since solid state electronics (transistors) was invented in the 50’s (if my mind serves me right from college days) only vacuum tubes exist during that period. It a huge glowing like light bulbs that you’ll see inside in black and white TV’s and radios in the old days. So items d, e and f would surely be in the size of refrigerators of today, hehe no kidding if it’s true. They will hardly be able to carry it like that. And remember in World War two or Vietnam War, how American soldiers call back their base? They carry this huge two way radio system on their back with long antennas.

Anyway this are just my rumblings, hopefully our next post is a juicy chizmis! So what’s in your mind? Do you concur or not.

Time out for the Manny Pacquaio fever coz’ today here on chizmosa lounge Sweet Spot Classic segment, we’ll gonna be featuring again one local classic commercial, the Royal Chocolate Margarine TV ad of the late broadcaster/actor, Rod Navarro.

This classic TVC was shown in the year 1977 wherein Rod Navarro was offering Royal Chocolate Margarine to the kids and showing them how delicious the spread was. On our fourth presentation, here’s another Sweet Spot Classic offering of chizmosa lounge to all of you, peeps!

Welcome once again to another nostalgic moment only here in Chizmosa Lounge. For our today’s Sweet Spot Classic presentation, we will be featuring another classic TV ad of two of the greatest actors in local showbusiness.

This Ginebra Kelly Rhum TV Ad was shown in the year 1974 which also features the young Rez Cortez and Phillip Salvador surrounded with beautiful ladies during their 70’s era in showbiz. Hi guys! Welcome to Sweet Spot Classic, the newest segment only here at Chizmosa Lounge that features pinoy classic TV ads, programs and TV presentations that will surely give you nostalgic fever!

On our very first Sweet Spot Classic video, we will be featuring a classic commercial advertisement of a soda brand, “Fress Gusto” (a root beer soda) that was shown in the year, 1975. On this TV ad, you will be seeing the young, Gary Valenciano on his very first TV commercial ever! (I think!)
