The Sarah Geronimo Talent Fee Issue
Pop star princess, Sarah Geronimo only ranked #15 on the April 2009 issue of Yes! Magazine’s 50 Most Powerful People in Showbiz. Topping the list was Wowowee host, Willie Revillame who was revealed earning a surprisingly amount of 1 Million Peso talent fee a day beating Kris Aquino placing on the 2nd spot who only receives 3 up to 33 Million Pesos per month.
The viva contract artist, Sarah Geronimo who only placed #15 on the list was the hottest and most sensational revelation among all of the showbiz personalities listed on the said local magazine. It was stated that Sarah only received 200,000 Peso talent fee on her first movie with box-office king, John Lloyd Cruz on their blockbuster hit film, “A Very Special Love” and a measly 300,000 Peso talent fee on her second blockbuster movie, “You Changed My Life” that was co-produced by two big film outfit, Star Cinema and VIVA Films.
Vic Del Rosario, Sarah’s manager already refutes the report about his prominent talent, clearing his side regarding the talent fee issue. Boss Vic said that the 200,000 and 300,000 peso talent fee which Sarah Geronimo received from her 2 blockbuster movies were the only amount that was approved by Star Cinema while the rest of the pop princess’ TF was shouldered by VIVA. Boss Vic also adds up that Sarah Geronimo and her leading man, John Lloyd Cruz received the same amount of fee from their 2 blockbuster movies. According to him, Sarah also got a bonus of 1 Million Pesos due to the success of her 2 hit movies that was given by VIVA and Star Cinema.
On the other hand, Star Cinema also released their official statement about the said issue. According to them, “Sarah Geronimo is a contractual talent of VIVA Films, negotiations about her talent fees on her movies were all just recommendations coming from VIVA Films that’s why on Sarah’s case, Star Cinema only complied with her contractual agreement with VIVA Films. Star Cinema respects the Talent-Manager relationship of Sarah Geronimo and VIVA Films, VIVA is the one who manages her talent fees and Star Cinema has nothing to do with it.”

kaya ang pilipinas di na uunlad ,maraming crooked sa gobyerno at ganun din sa movie industry .
dito sa america maski maraming crooked but they give what is due to the people .

Sarah G should always be reminded that if not withJohn loyd she cant be popular. I know she has nice voice and charisma in singing. but e thanshe cannot be popular. She must be thankful to loydy.
